C is for Cookies!

Had a little baking session with my little gingerbreads and we were all so super maxcited! HAHA Guess it's partly because I haven't been doing any cookery lessons with them for quite some time now that I almost forgot how fun and messy it is! So here's to the first cookery lesson of the year and hopefully more to come! :D

Because I'm a absolute color freak, (I love love love to use color on anything and everything!) my itchy fingers just had to add food colorings to the cookie dough which explains why the cookie mixture looks a gazillion times more yummy than those typical plain dough mixture! HAHAHA And I simply love the swirls of colors on the cookie dough. A mixture of red, orange and green; coincidentally it looks like a traffic light!

And this is our first attempt at baking and it just had to turn charcoal black! HAHAHA Oh wells! At least we didn't burn the whole school down right?

And here's the final product! So proud of my N1s for making such yummy cookies that it got all gobbled up as soon as they got out of the oven! HAHA Maybe next time I shall add more colors to the dough mixture so it will look more colour-licious!

This Was My 2011

2011 has not been a very very good year for me BUT it wasn't a very very bad year either? I guess 2011 was both good and bad in so many ways for me. It has been challenging, exhausting, emotional, full of adventure, exciting, eye-opening, life-enriching all at the same time and I love it for all of that!

Earlier this year, I finally completed my course and graduated with a Certificate in Early Childhood Education. It was a bittersweet affair, afterall I daresay my ITE days have helped molded me into the person I am now.

I landed my first ever full time job in a field that I have been working towards for years. And I feel like I'm taking the right step in my career. I also became financially independent, and it felt really good not having to be so dependent on my parents.

My family, they have been really really encouraging and supportive of me that I don't think I could have ever survive this far without them♥

Especially my dearest mummy! I'm not the most sweetest person to say "I love you" all the time. But believe me when I say I love my mum more than anything in the world♥

Other than my family, one of the best things about 2011 was knowing that the people I care for and love the most are still around me and with me. They are the ones who didn't walk out on me; instead they stayed with me through the rain and storm, support me and was always always there for me all these years. I may not have posted up some of their photos here cause I don't have any updated nor current photos, but they still are as equally special and you have no freaking idea how much I'm both thankful and blessed to have all of them in my life♥

After years of having long hair, I finally got down and chopped off my rapunzel-like hair. I even dyed my hair red but the color has faded out so guess I have to re-dye it again. I also took too many photos, and bought a new camera to take even more. I have learned so much that it's too difficult to list them all. I took a step closer to being a confident grown-up, but yet ironically at the same time I still feel like a young dependent girl!

In 2012, I hope to be a better daughter, a better sister, a better granddaughter, a better friend, a better teacher, a better muslim and on top of all, I hope to be a better person♥

I don't actually really believe that New Year's Day is different than any other day. In fact, today felt just like every other day.While people are out and about going for countdown parties etc, there I was all cuddled up in my bed and counting sheep. HAHA I sound so anti-social but really, just the taught of the hustle and bustle of the icky sweaty crowd turns me off.

Anyhoos, I know I haven't been pinning down anything here for the past few monthsssss but I'll try to work on it. Like what people say,"New year, new beginnings". So cross fingers and toes that I will get the drive to update occasionally. As of now, I need to get some sleep first. So good night! :D

I have been way too busy busy busy for words and just trying to keep up with hectic time but oh wells! Life just keeps getting more and more exhausting as you grow up. And I'm starting to feel really drained and my bodyclock isn't really helping either. Have been falling asleep at 8plus at night and waking up at 1 or even 2 plus in the morning. Huge eyebags are starting to take over my face again and I presume I'll start to look like a bushbaby soon :/

I have been incredily buzzingly busy busy busy with work. Five or at times even six days per week; those days are always packed to the brim like a tin of sardines. Along with the constant mad elephant rush to get this and that done, it's no wonder I feel so zombified at times.

Even today I spent half of my saturday at work. Now I shall spend some time all cuddled up under my blankets and get some good night sleep. I am one tired girl. Really.

This week has been the worst week I have had in a really long time. I had to rush here and there and do this and that; it was like 24 hours a day wasn't enough. I had so much to do but yet so little time on my hands. It did not help when I fell sick; I felt so zombified and unhuman. I struggled to keep myself in line and I have never felt lousier in my entire life. And yesterday's assessment exam was the last straw; I honestly taught I was going to get a big fat F and I actually broke down in front of my lecturer. But what's done is done. I have shed enough tears and I feel somewhat better.

It's actually times like this when I know who are the people who actually truly cares. I really really appreciate the calls and text messages and especially the effort to set time aset in your busy busy busy schdules to meet up and cheer me on. I feel so loved! :D

Anyways, this weekend is going to be great. And hopefully the coming week too. Have a great weekend!

It's been close to half an hour since the start of 26 January and I feel like shit. Yesterday's morning haven't been the greatest; woke up with a bad headache and burning fever along with a nose that wouldn't stop being runny. Yes, I felt like shit. I couldn't take the risk to report for work cause I don't want to affect my mini gingerbreads so as much as I don't want to, I had to take leave. Practically slept the day away after a visit to the doctor and I'm feeling much better now. I guess I need to have more rest, eat my medicine regularly and take things slowly. I need to stay strong cause my first practicum assessment is on this coming Friday! Not really looking forward to it but oh wells. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed.

Over-thinking ruins everything; it ruins the situation, turns things around, gives you unnecessary panic attacks and just makes things ALOT worst than it actually is :/ And I hate unnecessary panic attacks; it's totally uncalled for. What we should all do is just stay calm, and think things through slowly. As simple as that. I have zero idea why some people just have to make simple things complicated but oh wells. I shouldn't judge and it's a free world anyways. People are entitled to believe in whatever nonsense they want to; we don't all have to be the same. Cause at the end of the day, we are all only humans right?

One week of practicum down and so far everything has been good. Recently have been ending the day with snuggles and hugs, flying kisses and smooches and the "See you tomorrow teacher Hafidada!" with a big smile plastered across those mini faces :D I'm a step closer towards living my dreams and I'm not going to give up. An early dinner with the above 3 faces earlier on Monday to the kickstart the week and as per usual everything was last minute. But oh wells, things always works out best for the 4 of us last minute someway,somehow. And that's actually one of the things I love most about being in this group and working with the 3 of them; it's like we are all different but yet we could each bring our own identities, strengths and talents to work things out and get it done together. Of course we do get into arguments here and there but we can't stay mad at each other for long :D Things have changed but I'm glad some things still stays the same. ♥

It's been five days into 2011. And I guess I'm somewhat happy and sad but oh wells. My itchy fingers decided to delete off all the previous posts. A new year, a chapter ends and a new one begins. 2010 has not been a very very good year but it wasn't a very very bad year either? I guess 2010 was both good and bad in so many ways for me. Saw the disgustingly ugly side of most people and circumstances made me realize who are the people that actually truly cares. I have definately gained my own strength. I have lost people in more ways than one but I have learnt to accept it and move on.
